The Kvarner islands
A tour to the neighbouring islands of Lošinj – Krk, Cres, and Susak – will make your stay complete. Susak is an island that is mainly formed of sand laid on a limestone surface. Thanks to the special composition of the soil, the island produces excellent wines. Krk, the largest island in the Adriatic Sea, is the home of one of the oldest monuments of the Croatian language – a stone tablet with an inscription in the old Glagolitic alphabet. Cres is well-known as a habitat of a great variety of endemic species. Lošinj, an island famous for its healthy climate, is also a popular meeting place for dolphins, which can be spotted on the sea just off the island.
